Dr. Pramod Kumar

Mr. Parmod Kumar is the Director of the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru, and a leading economist with extensive experience in agricultural and development economics. His work focuses on agricultural markets, food security, rural livelihoods, and climate-resilient agriculture.
With a distinguished career spanning academia, policy research, and advisory roles, he has contributed to major national and international institutions including NCAER, IEG, OECD, and FAO. He has authored several books and numerous research publications, and has played a key role in shaping evidence-based policy through his association with government bodies such as NITI Aayog.He brings strong expertise in research leadership, policy analysis, and institutional development, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive growth.
