Dr. Padam Singh

Dr. Singh is a renowned survey research statistician of international repute with more than four decades of rich experience in research in the social sector and continues to grace our Advisory Board as Chairman. He has served as MemberChairman of National Statistical Commission GOI.

He has held senior positions in the Central Government before his superannuation from the position of Addl. Director General of Indian Council for Medical Research ICMR (1997-2004). He has served in Planning Commission as Joint Adviser for eight years and contributed in the preparation and appraisal of Sixth and Seventh five years’ plan, and was a member of working groups of Planning Commission including Vision 2020 and Professor of Statistics at PUSA Institute 1975-79.

He is credited with publication over 100 research papers in journals of national and international repute.
